  • 8:45 AM - 3:00 PM
  • Departing from Island Beach parking lot - The High Line & The Battery Conservancy
It features an integrated landscape, designed by landscape architects James Corner Field Operations, with architects Diller Scofidio + Renfro, combining meandering concrete pathways with naturalistic plantings. The High Line:

Come early, bring credit card.  It now costs $5 to park at Island Beach and the system is much more complicated (what else is new?) so leave those quarters at home and please give yourself more time.

1. Arrive by 8:30 at Island Beach lot on Arch Street, across from Teen Center

2. Park in a spot with yellow lines (white lined ones are for permit holders)

3. Write down the number of your parking spot - you'll need it when you pay

4. Go to Pay Station - there is one near the front of the lot

5. Parking is $5, payable by credit card, $5 bill, or Greenwich Smart Card

Lunch at Nero D'Avola - It is $28 including tax and tip, not $25 as I originally thought.  You can pay me at lunch, check to Hortulus Visiting Gardens.

A heads-up on lunch - we can take more people at the restaurant if you wish to join the group.
